Intersecting Identities Conference

The Intersecting Identities Conference is a student-led collaborative aimed to build bridges among many different communities and promote understanding and acceptance by sharing stories and personal experiences of oppression. This conference is held each year during Women鈥檚 History Month and consists of multiple events cosponsored by the Women鈥檚 Resource Center, Project SURVIVE, The Women鈥檚 and Gender Studies Department, as well as other resource centers and departments at 白小姐论坛. 

The 2021 conference鈥檚 theme 鈥淰isionaries鈥. This  2021 theme was chosen to celebrate pioneers and leaders and in our world, communities, and even here at 白小姐论坛, that create better futures for us all.

Community Project SURVIVE Presentation

Project SURVIVE is committed to social justice and is dedicated to ending all forms of power abuse 鈥 in personal relationships, social groups, and public institutions. They will be hosting a community workshop. All are invited to learn more about healthy relationships as well as myths and stereotypes that perpetuate rape culture.
Trabajadores Unidos Workers United Workplace Rights Workshop

鈥婽rabajadores Unidos Workers United a multi-racial and bilingual membership organization dedicated to improving the quality of jobs for workers in San Francisco will be presenting in the Politics of Sexual Violence class on workplace rights. They work to raise standards in the low-wage service sectors in San Francisco through worker and student organizing, grass-roots advocacy, leadership development, and public education. All Welcome!

Join the Women's Resource Center in watching the documentary The Apology on the story of survivors of World War II who were forced to be comfort women, and their fight for reconciliation and justice as they struggle to make peace with the past. The film will be followed by a student led discussion on militarization and ending sexual violence.
